There are many assumptions underlying the use of
the Bible as a source of information about the
characteristics of God.  Since things that do not
exist do not have any characteristics, using the
Bible presupposes that God exists.

Specifically,

if God exists then
    if the Bible is the word of God then
        if God knows everything then
            if God does not lie then
                everything in the Bible is true
            else
                some things in the Bible may be false
        else
            some things may not be in the Bible
    else
        the Bible is just a book
else
    God does not exist
